ECG Reader — Disclaimer
For qualified clinicians only. Decision support only.
- ECG Reader is intended for qualified doctors and other licensed clinicians. It is not for patients or the public.
- It is a decision-support tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and it is not a substitute for a clinician's own interpretation of the ECG.
- It can be wrong. It may miss dangerous patterns (a false reassurance), or flag patterns that are not there (a false alarm). "No critical pattern seen" does not mean the ECG is normal.
- Results depend on photo quality, the print, the lead layout and calibration. When calibration is not visible, the app assumes 25 mm/s and 10 mm/mV, and says so.
- Clinical details you enter can only raise the alert level. They never make a result more reassuring.
- Always read the ECG yourself, compare it with previous ECGs, and act on your own clinical judgment and your local protocols. In an emergency, follow emergency procedures; do not wait for the app.
- Do not upload patient names, ID numbers or other identifying details.
- HomiLabs provides the app "as is", without warranty. HomiLabs accepts no liability for clinical decisions made with it.
